Who we are

The I-PACE Owners' Advocacy Group is an informal, independent collective of Jaguar I-PACE owners who have come together to address shared concerns about traction battery faults, recall outcomes, warranty questions, and inconsistent support from JLR and its dealer network.

We are not affiliated with Jaguar Land Rover. We are not funded by any commercial interest. We are owners — people who chose the I-PACE, who care about the car, and who believe that problems of this scale deserve an organised, evidence-led response.

"Speak softly and carry a big stick." The best outcome is a constructive one. But a collective of well-organised owners with rigorous, documented evidence is far harder to dismiss than individual complaints scattered across forums.

Our approach

We take a constructive approach. Our goal is to work positively with JLR where possible — to present robust evidence, to seek senior engagement, and to pursue fair and consistent outcomes for all I-PACE owners.

We believe that a well-organised, evidence-led owners' group is more likely to achieve results than aggressive or fragmented complaints — and that it is more likely to protect owner confidence and vehicle value in the long run.

Legal action, consumer rights claims, and media campaigns remain options if constructive engagement fails. We do not rule them out. But they are not our primary aim.

Our principles

Evidence based — We collect structured, verifiable data. We distinguish between self-reported information and document-supported claims. We publish only anonymised aggregate statistics. We do not exaggerate.

Respectful and constructive — We engage JLR as partners where possible, not as adversaries by default. We keep communication professional.

Transparent with members — We publish our methodology, our data limitations, and our decisions openly. Members are not left in the dark.

Independent of JLR — We are entirely independent. No JLR employee, dealership, or commercial partner influences what we collect, report, or decide.

Prepared to escalate if required — We hope escalation is unnecessary. But we organise so that if it is needed, we are ready.

Our goals

  • Build the largest possible community of I-PACE owners affected by battery and recall issues.
  • Collect robust, structured owner data that can withstand scrutiny.
  • Understand the true scale of battery faults, SoH degradation, and recall outcomes across the fleet.
  • Engage JLR at senior level with credible, documented evidence.
  • Seek fair and consistent treatment for all affected owners — on warranty, recall work, loan cars, goodwill, and ongoing support.
  • Reduce fragmented individual complaints that are easily dismissed.
  • Avoid unnecessary legal action where a constructive resolution is possible.
  • Protect owner confidence and preserve I-PACE resale value.

What we are not

We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. Joining this group does not create any legal relationship with a lawyer or consumer rights body.

We are not formally incorporated as a legal entity at this stage. We are an informal owners' initiative unless and until a formal structure is created.

We do not claim that any submitted data is independently verified. Our methodology page explains exactly how data is collected and what verification levels we apply.

Get involved

The group is free to join. You can join without submitting vehicle data — though vehicle data is what makes our evidence credible. The more owners who submit structured data, the stronger our collective position.
