Member update

A note about recent sign-in issues

I-PACE Owners' Advocacy Group

We are sorry that some members have had trouble signing in. Here is what we have changed and the safest details to send us if it happens again.

We are sorry that some members have experienced a sign-in loop or a page that did not finish loading after using a magic link. Signing in should be the easy part of taking part, and we know that this has been frustrating.

We have improved the sign-in recovery path and added a short sign-in code to any recoverable error. The code lets us follow the technical decisions made during that journey without asking you to share your passwordless link, account token, or other private information.

If you see a sign-in error

Please send us:

  • the sign-in code shown in the message (for example, IP-ABCD-2345);
  • the approximate time it happened, including your time zone if you are outside the UK;
  • the page or action you were trying to use;
  • your device and browser, for example “iPhone, Safari” or “Windows, Chrome”; and
  • a screenshot if it helps — but please make sure it does not show your magic link, email address, or any other personal information.

Please do not forward the email sign-in link itself. It is private and can be used to sign in. Send the details to contact@ipace-owners.org.

If the site looks out of date

The site asks browsers to fetch a fresh page whenever it is reloaded. If you do not see the sign-in code on an error, or the page clearly looks different from the current site, you may still have an older page open.

  1. Close any open I-PACE Owners site tabs and reload the page.
  2. If that does not help, clear the website data for ipace-owners.org only in your browser's site-data or privacy settings, then reopen the site.
  3. Clearing site data signs you out, so request a new magic link before trying again.

There is no need to clear all of your browser history, passwords, or cookies. If you are unsure where to find the site-data setting, send us the device and browser details above and we will help.

Thank you for your patience, and for helping us make the site more reliable for everyone.
